Lasso Selection
Shortcut: Q
The Lasso tool creates freehand selections by drawing around an area. The selection automatically closes when you release.
Basic Usage
Click and drag to draw around the area you want to select. When you release, the selection closes by connecting back to your starting point.
Modifiers
- Shift + drag — Add to existing selection
- Altor Right Click + drag — Subtract from existing selection
- Shift+Altor Shift+Right Click + drag — Intersect with existing selection
Tips
- The Lasso is ideal for selecting irregularly shaped areas that don't fit a rectangle.
- For color-based selection, use the Magic Wand instead.
- Zoom in for more precise lasso selections.
