Frequently Asked Questions
What image size works best?
Small images work best. Images larger than 256px are automatically downscaled. A 64x64 pixel image produces a manageable 64x64 stitch pattern.
What are DMC threads?
DMC is the standard floss brand for cross-stitch and embroidery. Each color has a code (like "310" for black) that you can buy at any craft store.
Can I reduce the number of colors?
Use the Color Reducer tool first to reduce your image to fewer colors, then generate the pattern here.
