What are the direction options?
Full: Outline in all 8 directions (diagonal + cardinal).
Cross: Only cardinal directions (top, bottom, left, right).
Horizontal: Left and right only.
Vertical: Top and bottom only.
Custom: Toggle each of the 8 directions individually for complete control.
What's the difference between outline and inline mode?
Outline mode adds the outline around the sprite (expands outward).
Inline mode draws the outline inside the sprite's existing pixels.
What is alpha threshold?
Alpha threshold determines which pixels are considered "solid" for outline detection. Lower values include semi-transparent pixels, higher values only include fully opaque pixels.
Can I edit the result further?
Yes! Click "Open in Novaboard" to load your outlined sprite directly into our full pixel art editor. You can then adjust individual pixels, add animations, and export in multiple formats.
